Stella Archer BSc(Ost) SRN - Registered Osteopath
Stella trained at the British School of Osteopathy in London and qualified in 1994. She continued with post graduate training in Cranial Osteopathy She is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and is a member of The British Osteopathic Association and The Sutherland Society She keeps up to date with advances in these fields by attending regular refresher courses each year. She gained a lot of experience treating babies and children at the Osteopathic Centre for Children (Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy) where she worked for 18 months.
Before becoming an osteopath Stella trained as a State Registered Nurse which she says was an invaluable starting point for osteopathy. She gained a lot of experience in obstetrics including the delivery of babies, working in the neonatal unit and paediatric wards. She also worked in gynaecology, orthopaedics and oncology - after which she trained as a health visitor - before working in General Practice.
Stella enjoys keeping fit with swimming, yoga, walking and the gym. She trained in classical and contemporary ballet for 20 years and this remains a great interest.
