There will be some changes to how I work in my clinic when re-opening for face-to-face appointments.
There will be an initial triage by telephone to determine whether face-to-face is suitable and to discuss the risks, and therefore I will only be taking bookings by phone to begin with.
I have been busy making the clinic ready for re-opening in the current climate, and you will see some changes, including the removal of soft furnishings and certain unnecessary items. I have extremely stringent hygiene procedures in place, in line with Infection Prevention Control guidelines, and will be wearing PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) as recommended by Public Health England. This includes a single use apron, single use gloves and a surgical mask. In certain cases I may determine that it is advisable to wear safety goggles or a face visor.
I cannot see anyone who has Covid-19 symptoms, is self-isolating due to contact with someone who has Covid-19 symptoms, is shielding due to being classed as Extremely Clinically Vulnerable, or who lives in the same household as someone in one of these categories.
